This role will be responsible for ensuring all advertising creative is visually on-brand. You will primarily work with the Marketing Team creating motion ads, but you will also work across departments to manage the visual aesthetic of the Outside brand through a variety of creative executions. You will visualize the Outside Commerce benefits, driving acquisition (orders and subscriptions) across a range of marketing channels.

You are a multi-faceted designer and are comfortable with the many applications of your talents.

You have 3–5 years of experience in-house, freelance, or at an agency working as a graphic designer with an emphasis on motion design. To thrive in this position, you must be organized and hardworking, creative at heart, passionate about the outdoors and outdoor activities, and driven to help Outside Commerce realize its full potential.

● Produce static and motion advertisements for direct-response marketing campaigns on channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Twitter.

● Collaborate with the marketing team and other designers to develop concepts, create storyboards and design elements.

● Create timeline-based animations/videos and handle all post-processing which may include motion tracking, audio correction, color correction, and keying.

● Create product videos or gifs, record live videos for social, or film live action video if needed for an advertising campaign

● Possess strong storytelling skills that can convey complicated concepts into accessible and engaging visual mediums.

● Design, animate and create within Outside’s brand identity while pushing the creative direction forward.

● Hold strong communication and organizational skills with imaginative and conceptual design abilities.

● Work with the marketing team to manage and prioritize creative design projects

● Work with the marketing team to design and implement email templates and correspondences ● Work independently as well as with the Outside Commerce team to manage complex projects and create ads with multiple iterations for testing purposes.

● Interpret data from creative tests to inform future creative decisions


● Bachelor's Degree in Design (or equivalent experience)

● 3–5 years creative design experience

● Motion graphic design & videography experience

● Experience seeing projects progress from initial concept through mass production

● Demonstrated strength in creative thought, visual problem solving

● Excellent organizational skills and asset management within a controlled process

● Fluency in Adobe CC (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.)

● A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a passion for motion design solutions that excite our customers

● Working knowledge of marketing creative best practices on channels like Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Twitter Nice To Have:

● UI/UX design experience ● Bonus points for direct experience in Paid Social ad production for channels like Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Twitter

● Experience working in a Commerce environment

● Experience working with Figma
