Outside Event Services partner with thousands of endurance events worldwide every year; our athleteReg online registration and FinisherPix event photography services elevate participants’ experiences and deepen engagement with sponsors.


The Partnership Success Manager role (can be based in an Outside office or remote) is a critical connection point between Outside Event Services, our partner events and other departments within Outside Inc. to ensure uniform delivery of our services, and to implement consistent promotional messaging for our offers to maximize registration and photography sales.

Within 1 month, you will:

Become conversant with Outside Event Services solutions for online registration (athleteReg) and photography (FinisherPix), and understand different financial models for event partnerships through a series of meetings with OES team members in sales, marketing, operations and customer support

Collaborate with Outside Event Services sales and operations leadership to understand the required information/communication points to operate FinisherPix sales promotions with partner events; and outline a scripted path and requirements for partner communications pre- and post-event

Compile inventory of existing marketing assets used in deployment of photography sales efforts in partnership with FinisherPix clients, and identify needs for new asset creation

Work with FinisherPix operations team to learn how to build emails promoting FinisherPix photo sales

Preparation and presentation of pre-event planning guidelines, deadlines and required integration points to partner events using athleteReg and FinisherPix services

Establish points of contact with Outside Inc. consumer marketing department for alignment on promoting seasonal special offers and discounts for Outside+ and other company initiatives in communication to partner event participants

Within 6 months, you will:

Serve as the primary point of contact between Outside Event Services and partner events to manage effective fulfillment of sales promotions

Confidently communicate with event directors to request and gather information and assets required for the successful and timely execution of event photography and registration services partnerships

Organize and provide athleteReg and FinisherPix assets and instructions to partner events to enable their contracted promotion of registration and event photography offerings

Produce (in collaboration with Outside creative services department) and traffick sport-specific (running, cycling, triathlon) athleteReg and FinisherPix promotional materials for distribution to partner events

Track fulfillment of contracted promotional deliverables (e-mail/e-newsletter communication, website promotion, social media alerts, etc.) by partner events to drive registration and photography sales; and work to keep deliverables on schedule and resolve discrepancies

Create and send emails for post-event sales conversion on FinisherPix partner events

Establish a mechanism for unified status reporting on FinisherPix photo sales operations with partner events, to be shared with manager and FinisherPix operations team

Collaborate with Outside Inc. marketing, sales and customer services departments to ensure consistent presentation and pricing of athleteReg, FinisherPix and Outside+ special offers and promotional programs across Outside brands/platforms

Effectively serve as a bridge between partner events, Outside Event Services team and Outside Inc. finance department to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition for FinisherPix photo sales at partner events

Oversee photo presale campaigns across multiple events and registration partners

Manage client-specific art needs and coordination with Outside creative services department and vendors on production of materials required for on-site and digital sales promotions

Fulfill photography requests from media, event directors and Outside brands/departments, including coordination with Outside accounting department on invoicing for photo rights when applicable

Within 12 months, you will:

Use your experience and campaign results to recommend participant-facing marketing/messaging strategies and tactics for partner events to maximize sales

Recommend and enact process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Outside Event Services pre- and post-event sales fulfillment with partner events

Proactively communicate with Outside Inc. teams (in finance, consumer marketing, customer service, etc.) to improve information-sharing

Establish a “dashboard” for performance reporting on partner event campaigns and present monthly updates to Chief Experience Officer and Outside Event Services sales and operations leadership

Create and distribute promotional emails announcing special offers and promotions throughout the year

Meet and exceed client expectations by providing the highest level of customer service and developing strategies to resolve issues as they arise

What YOU bring to Outside: (Preferred Qualifications)

5+ years of experience successfully executing operations and tracking project deliverables for a wide scope of revenue-generating partner/client relationships

Must be able to quickly learn and develop a strong understanding of Outside Event Services online registration and event photography offerings

Able to manage own workflow while coordinating with internal teams on schedules, campaign requirements, goals, and assignments as needed

Must demonstrate strong customer service orientation and the ability to foster relationships with clients, vendors, and Outside employees; flexible, patient, courteous, professional

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical for success, including organization, interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of change, and innovation

A strong level of comfort and confidence in answering and/or resolving client inquiries is necessary

Must possess a strong working knowledge of the Google suite (specifically, Docs, Sheets and Drive)

Bachelor’s degree required

Previous professional experience in the endurance events industry is a plus, but not required

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $50,000 to $80,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more.
