Outside Interactive is looking for a business-minded transactional attorney with 4-5 years of proven complex corporate and commercial contracts experience gained at a law firm and in-house at a media, technology or e-commerce company to join its growing legal team. This role provides a unique opportunity to assist with the creation of a legal department that supports a wide-ranging dynamic collection of active lifestyle brands. We are looking for a motivated and diligent attorney who is comfortable with a broad range of responsibilities ranging from commercial transactions to data privacy, content ownership and licensing. The right person for this role is comfortable operating largely independently in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.

How You Will Make a Difference:

You will partner with the Company's Senior Leadership and business teams to manage, negotiate and execute on a broad range of commercial initiatives and the organization's day-to-day operational/contract needs and strategic priorities.

You will draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including marketing, technology, licensing, business development, HR, master services, contractor, confidentially and other commercial agreements.

You will play an integral part in establishing a legal function at Outside: including systems implementation, policy drafting and process education and roll out.

You will lead efforts in preparing, implementing and refining various contract forms, processes and procedures.

You will provide strategic counsel to company leadership, including related to areas of risk and mitigation strategies.

You will engage in or lead various other projects and duties, which may include data privacy, compliance, public policy matters, real estate, and insurance.

You will develop and conduct periodic employee trainings on various matters.

What You Bring:

JD required. Bar admission and in good standing in at least one state.

5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years working in-house, preferably at an early-stage company.

Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex technology, commercial and intellectual property agreements.

Experience managing risk and compliance as applicable to a variety of business units and ability to anticipate and advise on risk with a commercial mind set based on the needs of the business.

General knowledge of data protection laws (both U.S. and international) regulatory requirements highly desirable.

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision but be a team player with a great "can do" attitude.

Be comfortable simultaneously managing workloads, multiple client demands and shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $150,000 to $170,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission .
