Outside Inc. is seeking an energetic, self motivated individual to serve as a Sales Associate. This role combines elements of generating leads for sales team members, negotiations, and closing deals. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about print and digital media, the active sports lifestyle space, and is driven by the challenge of setting and achieving goals. This candidate will work closely with the Sales Management Team to strategically target various market segments for leads and closing deals. This candidate should feel comfortable researching the internet, using online sales tools, and making cold outreach to prospective advertisers. This is a quota based position.

Sales Associate Responsibilities:

● Understanding and promoting company programs and events

● Researching, generating + qualifying leads

● Cold Calling and emailing prospective accounts

● Collaborating with team sales representatives

● Generating weekly reporting of lead generation activity

● Maintaining impeccable client records

● Meeting or exceeding sales goals

● Communicating internally and externally with energetic optimism

● Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective advertisers

● Negotiating contracts with advertisers

● Preparing and submitting sales insertion order contracts

● Become an Industry expert; an interest in fitness, nutrition, wellness, sport and recreation is preferable, depending on assigned event

● Capture 50+ leads per day via Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc

● Cold call & reach out to new/old prospects each day, quantity of calls will be quantified and measured

● Generate referrals and upgrades through existing clients

● Post consistently on social media about your assigned industry to generate leads

Qualifications:

● General understanding of the sales process and dynamics

● A commitment to excellent customer service

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers

● Capable of using the internet and other tools to develop leads

● Able to close advertising sales deals

● Must own computer and be able to work remotely

● Must be qualified to work in the US

● Strong verbal and written English communication

● Love to sell and provide opportunities to businesses

● Maintains a student mentality

● Enjoys the sales process; prospecting and cold-calling autonomously, developing and managing own pipeline, and closing deals to create a successful event

● Engaged in training sessions and continues to develop professional skills

● Excited for business growth with our event and our clients; always seeking opportunities to reach new markets individually and as a team

● Strong organizational and time management skills

Education and/or Experience:

● Past sales experience is preferred

● High school diploma

● Salesforce or other CRM exp

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $40,000 to $50,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission .
