The Outside Podcast team for Outside Magazine is looking for a full-time Associate Podcast Producer to join our team and help us produce and craft longform audio content that inspires our listeners to lead more active lives. In this role, they will work closely with the host of the Outside Podcast as well as members of the extended Outside editorial team to develop and create new episodes and series for our weekly show. They will also assist in the production and creation of advertising spots from our sponsors.
The Outside Podcast brings Outside’s longstanding literary storytelling tradition to life in audio. We launched in March 2016 with our first series, Science of Survival, and have since expanded our show to offer a range of story formats, including interviews with the biggest figures in sports, adventure, gear, technology, and politics, as well as reports from Outside’s correspondents in the field.
This role will be based in Santa Fe, New Mexico
We’re hiring a skilled Associate Podcast Producer that will work on all aspects of the Outside Podcast. This person must be able to work independently, produce strong stories on tight deadlines, possess sound editorial judgement, and have a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate also has a passion for outdoor sports, and a familiarity with the personalities, trends, and culture of outdoor adventure. They will need to be prepared to hit the ground running on day one.

While we are currently working mostly remote, this role will be based in Santa Fe, New Mexico (though we can be flexible about timing due to the pandemic).
New Mexico Jobs: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $45,000 to $55,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and many more.
