Outside, Inc. is seeking a Tour Manager to oversee operations of the Warren Miller Entertainment Film Tour. Warren Miller Entertainment is one of the largest, most established and successful action sports film companies today, with more than 73 years of snow sports filmmaking experience. The annual Warren Miller Film Tour (from mid-October to mid-December) continues the legacy of the brand, reaching more skiers, snowboarders and outdoor enthusiasts than any other snow sports film to date.

The primary responsibilities involve the management and execution of the logistics, travel, operations and finances for a multi venue Film Tour. A critical responsibility is ticketing and financial settlement of the shows. This is a crew role that requires the Tour Manager to be an active leader of a 4-person crew in management of multiple events on a 4-6 week schedule. There will be travel required. An appreciation and familiarity with the winter sports industry and Warren Miller Entertainment is strongly preferred.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics, travel and operations for 4-person multi-venue Film Tour
  • Operate within budgeted guidelines to ensure profitability of the tour
  • Responsible for finances, ticketing, staffing, theater set-up and day of show scheduling
  • Reconcile receipts and box office numbers with theatres on night of show
  • Provided complete settlements, recaps, audience feedback and results for each show to Outside Events team
  • Supervise each crew member in the execution of their duties
  • Supervise local theater staff to ensure most successful event possible
  • Act as the first resource for all issues and problems that may arise, responding and resolving all situations as they present themselves and utilizing the Film Tour Dept and all its resources when appropriate.
  • Coordinate venue box offices, ticket outlets, off site ticket agents and corporate accounts for complete control over day of event ticket sales and allocations.
  • Make good decisions to improve the tour on the fly, as well as make suggestions to Outside for future improvements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum skills required include a working knowledge of Google Suite, Excel and Slack
  • Experience in live event management or production is desirable.
  • The successful candidate must be highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and display strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to go above-and-beyond without being asked, eliciting critical thinking with recommendations for improvements
  • Passionate, energetic individual who has demonstrated knowledge of keeping up with fast-paced event environment
  • A confident and professional personal, written and phone demeanor is a must,

For this seasonal/temporary position you can expect to be paid $950 per week. In addition, you will be compensated a taxable per diem rate of $65/day for scheduled days actively working on the tour.
