We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Media Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. As a Media Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in full cycle sales that leads to securing media deals across our portfolio, including video, digital, print, linear TV, and social. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage potential partners, negotiate media packages, and build long-term relationships with clients. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sales background, and a passion for media and the outdoors. This is a development territory that is focused on the endemic outdoor market (skiing, snowsports, hiking, running, cycling, health, and wellness). You will be starting with some accounts but will be tasked with prospecting, qualifying, and building new business across assigned categories.

Within 1 month, you will:

Identify and prospect potential media partners:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify, prioritize, and secure business opportunities based on an understanding of your region and the business strategies of your customers.
  • Utilize various sources, such as AI, online directories/tools, industry publications, and networking events, to generate leads.

Collaborate with internal teams:

  • Coordinate closely with the marketing teams to ensure successful development of proposals and execution of campaigns.
  • Communicate campaign requirements and expectations to relevant teams to ensure deliverables are met.

Within 3-6 months, you will:

Pitch and negotiate media packages:

  • Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends, creative insights, campaign analysis and case studies, emphasizing how our products align with their marketing objectives.
  • Negotiate terms, including financial investments, branding opportunities, and deliverables.

Build and maintain client relationships:

  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with partners, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or requests from partners promptly and professionally.
  • Continuously assess partners' satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or renewals.

Track & Analyze Campaign Performance

  • Understand and communicate campaign performance that demonstrates the ROI clients are looking for.
  • Share with campaign management team optimizations as needed.

Travel to client markets

  • Meet with clients in person via events, trade shows, and territory meetings.
  • Total travel could be as high as 50% of time especially early as relationships are being established.

Within 6-12 months, you will:

Meet sales targets and reporting:

  • Leverage key insights and market understanding to develop an effective go to market strategy that will drive growth across the categories.
  • Have an analytical approach to your business that demonstrates there is a path to quota achievement.
  • Regularly track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and sponsorship revenue via Salesforce.
  • Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of appropriate sales and operational customer service.
  • Consistently deliver on sales targets by taking ownership of a market segment and applying an entrepreneurial approach.

Colorado Jobs: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $68,000 to $100,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and many more. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for this role, and may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
