Our ideal candidate for this Android Engineering Manager has built world-class consumer-facing mobile applications, and built teams that build those applications. As a leader, your primary role is to put the goals of our customers and business first, drive product & architecture decisions with your product and design counterparts, and help your team reach its maximum potential. You'll work closely with engineering leaders to set technical strategy and direction.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and coach a team of engineers tasked with building our world class mobile applications

• Help craft the vision for Android teams

• Effectively communicate platform features and constraints of the mobile client to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

• Hold bi-weekly 1:1s with your teams and manage individual career development while being a champion for your direct reports

• Plan and fulfill hiring plans for your teams while partnering with recruiting to screen, source, and close a diverse array of candidates for multiple technical teams

• Foster a culture that is both inclusive and equitable

What You Should Have

• Experience leading teams of native Android engineers

• Several years of experience as a mobile engineer, building complex Android apps

• Full understanding of Java, C, C++

• Current knowledge of the development ecosystem

• Ability to clearly communicate and represent your team to internal and external audiences with

differing levels of technical fluency

What We Hope You Have

• Experience leading out teams of full-stack and/or front and back end engineers

• Experience Android UI patterns

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $150,000 to $195,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more.
