Outside, Inc. is seeking a Projectionist to participate on the Warren Miller Entertainment Film Tour. Warren Miller Entertainment (WME) is one of the largest, most established and successful action sports film companies today, with more than 73 years of snow sports filmmaking experience. The annual Warren Miller Film Tour (from mid-October to mid-December) continues the legacy of the brand, reaching more skiers, snowboarders and outdoor enthusiasts than any other snow sports film to date.

The primary responsibility is the execution of event production for a multi venue Film Tour and the duties contained in that role. The projectionist is also responsible for inventory transportation between tour stops either by truck or 3rd party shipper. This is a crew role that requires the Projectionist to be an active member of a 4-person crew in setting up multiple events on a 4-6 week schedule. The Projectionist will manage the production aspects of the tour including oversight of local theater crews to ensure the full production runs flawlessly. There will be travel required. Experience with live event production is desirable. An appreciation and familiarity with the winter sports industry and Warren Miller Entertainment is strongly preferred.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Compile pre-tour production inventory.
  • Prep daily schedules for on-site and traveling crews
  • Provide training for local crew for run of show
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of each screening and respective production meets the standards and direction of Warren Miller Entertainment
  • Understand and be able to explain production requirements.
  • Prep show schedules and anticipate technical needs
  • Liaise with production staff at venue for an efficient execution of production schedule
  • Manage day to day ground movement, guaranteeing a safe, coordinated, and timely journey between venues
  • Organize Air Cargo or Ground Shipping drop off/pick up
  • Maintain and operate all equipment carefully and assess and report status
  • Develop a strong working relationship with MC
  • Provide solutions to day to day production challenges at a variety of venues with different equipment
  • Provide post-tour recap to ensure WME is operating the most streamlined tour possible in the future

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in live event or video production is desirable.
  • The successful candidate must be highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and display strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to go above-and-beyond without being asked, eliciting critical thinking with recommendations for improvements
  • Passionate, energetic individual who has demonstrated knowledge of keeping up with fast-paced event environment
  • A confident and professional personal, written and phone demeanor is a must.

For this seasonal/temporary position you can expect to be paid $875 per week. In addition, you will be compensated a taxable per diem rate of $65/day for scheduled days actively working on the tour.
