Oxygen is looking for a passionate, fun, high-energy Assistant Digital Editor to help grow the publication’s audience and subscriber base by creating outstanding online content. This position reports to Oxygen’s senior digital editor and is part of a cross-platform editorial team that assigns, edits, and writes content for the website and print magazine related to training, nutrition, and women’s health. The assistant digital editor writes and produces content for the website, social media, newsletters, email, and print magazine.

Responsibilities

The following qualifications are fundamental to this position:

  • 35% - Write, optimize, repackage and produce editorial content for Oxygenmag.com and email newsletters
  • 35% - Write and create social media content, manage accounts, and engage with audiences across platforms
  • 20% - Write regular columns for print and digital and support senior digital editor and brand director in organizing and executing content calendar
  • 10% - Support team in evaluating data to increase traffic and engagement on the website and social media platforms.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
  • 2-5 years experience working for a consumer media brand.
  • Analytics and SEO experience is a plus.
  • Ideal skills: writing, editing, WordPress or other CMS, social media platforms, social media management tools, Hubspot, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The ideal candidate should be an effective communicator, organized, able to meet deadlines, and comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $30,000 to $40,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission .
