Outside’s Audience Engagement team is a tight knit group of problem solvers and cross-functional content creators with a relentless drive to tell great stories and build thriving communities on social media. We are social creatives, data-driven thinkers, influencer and content marketing professionals. We work across more than 30 media brands to inspire people to get outside and do the activities they love.

Within 1 month, you will:

● Have a working relationship with social media managers across the company, helping them balance multiple stakeholders and succeed on social platforms.

● Be deeply involved in the monthly reporting and social scorecard, ensuring timely, accurate data with useful analysis.

● Understand company social media KPIs and know how we are tracking toward them.

● Be leading our team’s best practices with our key tools, including Sprout Social, asana, RivalIQ, creator tools and more.


Within 6 months, you will:

● Develop a smoothly running team with regular processes, strong communications, and shared workflows.

● Work to identify new trends and opportunities in top social platforms, and build strategies to engage with emerging platforms.

● Help develop and institute best practices across our team.

● Work with social media managers, sales teams, marketing teams and others to create an integrated social media calendar

● Lead data-driven social media practices that improve results and drive toward KPIs

● Partner cross-functionally to ensure that social media strategy is connected to editorial goals and the broader company vision.

● Ensure excellent tactical execution across all social campaigns.


Within 12 months, you will:

● Ensure that Outside Inc’s social media operations are industry leaders and help us pioneer new platforms, trends and strategies.

● Own the day-to-day management and mentorship of the social media team.

● Develop new social platform opportunities, helping our team move into high-performing social media spaces.

● Help build the next generation of social media teams and operations at Outside.

● Lead the achievement of our 2022 KPIs and be integral in setting new ones.


What YOU bring to Outside:

● 5+ years experience in professional social media operations

● Fluency in all major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and passion about utilizing and optimizing their features

● Expertise at running social media campaigns across multiple channels

● Proven track record of creating outstanding original social media content that drives brand loyalty and achieves goals.

● A data-driven approach to social media success, and the ability to turn social analytics into compelling insights that inform strategy.

● Experience managing a dynamic social media team, establishing a clear vision for success, communicating with your team and executives to maintain alignment.

● A relentless drive to both create content and build a successful social media operation.

Colorado Jobs: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $105,000 to $130,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and many more. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for this role, and may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
