At Outside, we’re bringing our inspiring content and our empowering tools to a large audience across 30+ platforms and domains. As a Senior Software Engineer for the Moments team, you’ll be working across our product landscape in order to address the many problems that arise as a platform. This can include but is not limited to: subscription management, profile management, and integrating new partners that share in our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Review Github PRs, create & contribute to technical designs, and create software that supports the day to day business of Outside and it’s many brands
- Work with a team of 4 backend-focused engineers to evolve our Django Python APIs and services
- Work with engineering, product management, product design to improve and support a seamless user management integration across products
- Mentor team members on development best practices and provide guidance around authorization & authentication standards
- Support our current OIDC implementation against live applications and collaborate on solutions for future applications
Basic Qualifications:
- You have 5+ years of software engineering experience
- You have experience with Django, Python, and OAuth/OIDC
- You build software with security in mind from the beginning, keeping up with recommendations and best practices along the way
- You’re a collaborative team player who celebrates the success of your team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Implemented an OAuth 2.0 or OIDC server in a production environment with multiple client applications
- Experience with GraphQL, DjangoORM, Typescript, Next.js, and Node.js

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $140,000 to $175,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more.
